MFK Ružomberok is a Slovak professional football club playing in the city of Ružomberok. Established in 1906, the club's colours have been traditionally white, yellow and red, which are also featured on the town's flag. However, the sponsor Mondi Business Paper SCP introduced new colours in 2005: orange, black and white. FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda is a Hungarian identity Slovak football team, based in Dunajská Streda. In the 2007 to 2008 season, the team were the west group champions of the Slovak Third League. In the 2008 to 2009 season, after merging with FC Senec, the team entered the Slovak Superleague. The club is strongly supported by the Hungarian minority in Slovakia.

Slovak First Football League

The Slovak First Football League, known as the Niké liga for sponsorship reasons, is the highest level of the Slovak football league system. It was formed in 1993 following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. The record for most titles is thirteen, held by Slovan Bratislava, who are the current title holders.
