Founded on June 21, 1913, it was the third professional football team established in the state. It holds the record for the most Campeonato Capixaba titles, having won the competition 38 times. Although its headquarters are in the state capital, it usually plays its home matches at the Kleber Andrade Stadium, located in Cariacica.
