Montevideo City Torque are a Uruguayan football club in Montevideo. It was founded in 2007 and currently plays in Uruguayan Primera División, first tier of Uruguay league system. The club has played in the Uruguayan Primera División in 2018 season for the first time in its history. On 6 April 2017 the conversion of the club into a Public Limited Company and the purchase by City Football Group was confirmed. In this way, Torque joins Manchester City, New York City, Melbourne City and Yokohama Marinos, clubs that are also owned by that group.

Danubio was founded by the Bulgarian-born brothers Miguel and Juan Lazaroff on 1 March 1932 together with other youths from the "Republica de Nicaragua" school in Montevideo.
