Bayern Munich took another major step towards a 34th Bundesliga title as they extended their unbeaten run to 12 games following a thumping 4-0 victory over Union Berlin.

[p]Formidable at the Allianz Arena with five consecutive home wins, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/bayern-munich/nVp0wiqd/"]Bayern[/a] dominated the first half, but were forced to wait until the 43rd minute before finding the breakthrough.[/p][p]The visitors fought hard to frustrate the runaway Bundesliga leaders in the opening exchanges, albeit without creating anything themselves.[/p][p]The first clear chance for the hosts came just before the half-hour mark when [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/stanisic-josip/SfawK0Y3/"]Josip Stanišić[/a] picked out [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/lennart-karl/t0q0DalG/"]Lennart Karl[/a] with a pinpoint cross, but he failed to convert an easy tap-in as the ball struck the face of the post before bouncing clear.[/p][image alt="Match stats" id="9b3cb95d-51fe-423f-abcc-2fb8cba10a59" credit-line="Opta by StatsPerform" guid="bd222095-963f-405e-ab03-7aef0b4a2961" original-width="1080" original-height="1080" /][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/kane-harry/v5HSlEAa/"]Harry Kane[/a] should’ve opened the scoring shortly after as he rounded the goalkeeper, but he couldn’t find the back of the net with the angle against him.[/p][p]Just when it looked like Die Eisernen could go in level at the break, the dam quickly burst as they conceded two goals on the verge of half time.[/p][p][b][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/olise-michael/E5pvwqkK/"]Michael Olise[/a] had threatened on the right flank throughout the half, and he stepped up to find the breakthrough as he cut inside onto his left foot before arrowing a curled finish into the far corner.
