A huge goalkeeping error two minutes from the end from FC Midtjylland keeper Elias Olafsson gave Viborg a 3-3 draw away against FC Midtjylland, who thereby lost a big step in the two-horse race for the Danish title against AGF.

[p]With two rounds remaining, AGF preserved their position in first place of the Danish Superliga as [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/midtjylland/8GZDmdbB/"]FC Midtjylland[/a] could only draw 3-3 against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/viborg/v99EsEjo/"]Viborg FF[/a] in a wild local clash on Monday evening at the MCH Arena.[/p][p]The two rivals delivered an extremely entertaining first half with four goals, and in the last ten minutes of the second half, the drama continued. [/p][p]Ten minutes before time, it seemed as if central defender [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/erlic-martin/n9FYAE96/"]Martin Erlic[/a] had secured the victory for FCM, but the last chapter in an eventful match still had not been written. [/p][p]In the last minute of regular time, a grave error from keeper [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/olafsson-elias/AXTCchy8/"]Elias Olafsson[/a] was to prove costly for the home side as he couldn't hang on to a long-distance shot, leaving Viborg's [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/hanza-dorian/2a9vUaGM/"]Dorian Hanza[/a] with an easy tap-in. [/p][p]With two rounds remaining, AGF has a two-point gap to FC Midtjylland in second place. The equalizer also boosted Viborg's chances of claiming the bronze as they are two points behind FC Nordsjaelland, who are currently in third place. [/p][p]AGF's late win on Sunday put pressure on the home side from the start who, however, seemed to thrive under the extra pressure, putting lots of pressure on the Viborg rearguard. [/p][image alt="Fc Midtjylland - Viborg FF - Player Ratings" id="9152e2ff-4852-4e04-b339-342479a881ed" credit-line="Flashare" guid="e9fc41f3-2674-4481-8d3b-008f50867fc3" original-width="1200" original-height="1200" /][p]However, it was the visitors who took the lead after 33 minutes when Asker Beck intercepted a bad pass from Ousmane Diao and searched into the Midtjylland box before coolly slotting the ball into the back of the net.[/p][p]But the Viborg celebrations were cut short when Chilean striker Dario Osorio turned and twisted into the Viborg box and curled the ball into the far low corner with a clinical finish. [/p][p]In the last minute of the first half, Beck doubled his tally of the night when he pounced on a big error in the build-up from FC Midtjylland to restore the lead for Viborg. However, there was still time for the home side to restore parity before the end of the first 45 minutes when a shot from Pedro Bravo was deflected into the Viborg net by Daniel Anyembe. [/p][p]In the second half, FC Midtjylland struggled to regain control of the match but still managed to edge ahead with minutes left when a long throw-in was flicked for Erlic to steer the ball past Lucas Lund. [/p][p]But with just a minute remaining, Olafsson could not hold on to a stinging drive from Adam Kleis-Kristoffersen, and Dorian Hanza levelled the match with ease to give both teams a share of the spoils. [/p]
