Sandro Tonali is emerging as one of the hottest names for the summer transfer market - but any move for him is expected to be a pricey one.

[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/newcastle-utd/p6ahwuwJ/"]Newcastle[/a] have no plans to let him leave easily, and current information continues to suggest they could even price him out of a transfer altogether.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/juventus/C06aJvIB/"]Juventus[/a] have set him as a dream target, while [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/manchester-united/ppjDR086/"]Manchester United[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/arsenal/hA1Zm19f/"]Arsenal[/a] have also been linked. Sources are now also indicating that [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/manchester-city/Wtn9Stg0/"]Manchester City[/a] hold a genuine interest in the player.[/p][p]Figures within the game believe Newcastle would look to push [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/tonali-sandro/fmQVO5TQ/"]Tonali[/a] towards the €100 million mark if firm approaches arrive.[/p][p]Such a fee would prove beyond Juventus, which is notable given there has been a feeling that he would be open to a return to Italy.[/p][p]If a move does develop, a switch within the Premier League is currently viewed as the more realistic outcome - and that would only strengthen Newcastle’s financial stance in negotiations.[/p][embed guid="f9fe9378-8a6d-48df-9da2-658a2522c202" url="https://x.com/TheAthleticFC/status/1980952757403267132" social-type="twitter" /][p]Tonali joined Newcastle for around €70million in 2023 and the club ideally would not want him joining a rival club within England, but there is already an understanding of the interest that exists.[/p][p]For now, it remains unclear whether Arsenal will actively enter the race. [/p][p]But Manchester United are certainly interested - and information from Man City insiders suggests their interest is concrete.[/p][p]Both clubs have begun initial explorations into Tonali - looking to position themselves early to shape potential offers and begin laying the groundwork with the player and his camp.[/p][p]But the situation is further complicated by the fact that both United and City are also keen on Elliot Anderson.[/p][p]Briefings from the Etihad suggest City are growing increasingly confident on that front but it is feasible that City would attempt to sign both Anderson and Tonali.[/p][p]There is also a belief that City could hold an advantage in any negotiations with Newcastle. [/p][p]The Magpies are interested in making signings themselves - and could look to take Man City fringe players. [/p][p]Following a Champions League exit after a heavy defeat to Barcelona on Wednesday - and with qualification for next season out of reach - Newcastle may have to remain open-minded about how they approach the summer window.[/p][image alt="Flashscore" id="0f685dd0-10a2-43d8-9966-361f00f7203c" credit-line="Flashscore" guid="54bcb0e5-3ebd-4e88-9206-76c5f110fdac" original-width="1200" original-height="380" /]
