Danish FC Porto star lose consciousness and is stretchered off after nasty head collision

Danish international midfielder and Player of the Season in Portugal, Victor Froholdt was stretchered off Friday night in Porto's match against Moreirense after suffering a heavy head collision with Guilherme Liberato. Froholdt is now in hospital and remains under observation.

However, due to the concussion he suffered, he will remain under observation in the hospital and will be discharged on Saturday morning,"[/b] reads a medical update released by [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/fc-porto/S2NmScGp/"]Porto[/a].[/p][p]In the 87th minute, a collision between [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/guilherme-liberato/tv55pLfP/"]Guilherme Liberato[/a] and Victor Froholdt caused the Porto midfielder to lose consciousness in front of concerned players and spectators in the stands at Estádio do Dragão. Players from both teams formed a shield around the Dane, while Liberato was comforted by teammates and opponents before being shown a straight red card. [/p][embed guid="c076b302-41bf-424d-ab42-66dfd00db58f" url="https://x.com/sporttvportugal/status/2095985762747458041" social-type="twitter" /][p]Froholdt left the pitch on a stretcher, but regained consciousness shortly after.  After the match, Porto coach Francesco Farioli had already given positive indications about the Danish international's condition.[/p][p][b]"I received a message from the doctor. He is conscious and undergoing tests, but everything seems fine. Of course, we have to wait for the final information, but, thank God, it seems it was just a big scare for everyone,"[/b] said the Italian coach.[/p][p][b]“He is in hospital for observation. He is conscious; they gave me good news. But of course the images and the contact were very impactful. Everyone was frightened, but he seems to be okay. He will be assessed, and we’ll see tomorrow.”[/b][/p]
