The Seattle Seahawks franchise will go up for sale following Super Bowl LX on February 8th, according to ESPN reporters Seth Wickersham and Brady Henderson.

[p]The report states that the team and the NFL have been in talks about the situation over the past week. Former owner Paul Allen's estate currently owns the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/seattle-seahawks/f5h1oOee/"]Seahawks[/a], along with the NBA's [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/uab-blazers/U7UlSfyb/"]Portland Trail Blazers[/a].[/p][p]When the team officially becomes listed for sale, it'll be the first time a team has ever done so in the Super Bowl era after actually playing in the Super Bowl.[/p][p]However, an Allen estate spokesperson commented on the report. [/p][p]“We don’t comment on rumors or speculation, and the team is not for sale. We’ve already said that will change at some point per Paul’s wishes, but I have no news to share. Our focus right now is winning the Super Bowl and completing the sale of the Portland Trail Blazers in the coming months. “[/p][p]Seattle will be taking on the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/new-england-patriots/G6oNfmi8/"]New England Patriots[/a] in Super Bowl LX after defeating their divisional rival [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/los-angeles-rams/z7hZioyR/"]Los Angeles Rams[/a], 31-27 in the NFC Championship game.[/p][embed guid="9692fc4f-e3e2-4220-8fff-696ea6302506" url="https://x.com/SethWickersham/status/2017360442255913356?s=20" social-type="twitter" /]
