According to a recent CSA survey from June 5th, Paris Saint-Germain has climbed among the favourite French clubs of the French people following their second consecutive Champions League triumph.

[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/psg/CjhkPw0k/"]PSG[/a] made football history on May 31st. But perhaps even more importantly, the capital club has found an even bigger place in the hearts of French supporters.[/p][p]Just as [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/st-etienne/YL2QybFe/"]Saint-Etienne[/a] did in the 1970s and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/marseille/SblU3Hee/"]Marseille[/a] in the 1990s, Paris Saint-Germain is leaving its mark on this era.[/p][p]According to a CSA study conducted among 1,511 French nationals, 67% of them say that PSG makes the French proud, not just Parisians. Considering how intense rivalries can be, 77% of viewers of the Champions League final wanted to see PSG win on Saturday, May 31st. And "65% said they felt satisfied".[/p][p]Regarding this new major trophy, the third lifted by a French club, 65% of French people believe that PSG is among the greatest teams in the history of French sport. This is a significant status, especially when recalling the greatest achievements.[/p][p]The Parisian club clearly seems to have taken a very positive turn among the French public. 73% of those surveyed think it helps France shine internationally. In 2025-2026, the team coached by Luis Enrique truly carried French football on its shoulders.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/strasbourg/nP6UzIU1/"]Strasbourg[/a] did manage to reach the semi-finals of the Conference League, but the third European cup obviously does not have the same visibility.[/p][p]Now, on an emotional level - and this may be the most important aspect for a club's image - 67% of respondents have a positive image of PSG. Moreover, the players on this team are good role models for young people (65%). [/p][p]And "73% of French people consider Paris Saint-Germain to be a popular club in France, not just in Paris or Île-de-France", as stated in the CSA press release.[/p][p]Finally, compared to other great teams, this PSG is the favourite among those surveyed (43%), ahead of the OM of the 90s (14%) and the ASSE of the 70s (13%). "83% say they are proud that there is such a team in France", reports the CSA.[/p]
