An electric start powered Paris FC to just a third-ever H2H victory over AS Monaco, with the hosts’ 4-1 success ending Les Monégasques' seven-match winning run in Ligue 1, which stood as the longest such streak across Europe’s top-five leagues.

[p]With four of their final six matches coming against top-half opponents, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/paris-fc/0OEHEprs/"]Paris[/a] were looking for a strong start to consolidate their safe position in mid-table. And that’s just what they got, racing into a two-goal lead inside eight minutes.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/monaco/2PIvr8o4/"]Monaco[/a] had no answer for the pace of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/simon-moses/Cj5rnjpG/"]Moses Simon[/a] down the left, and he utilised the space to cut inside and send in a low cross, which [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/ikone-jonathan/xGBNss8O/"]Jonathan Ikoné[/a] converted at the back post. [/p][p]The visitors had barely caught their breath when they were picked apart on the other wing, with Ikone involved again.[/p][p]He linked up well with [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/munetsi-nyasha/2LonY10K/"]Marshall Munetsi[/a], freeing the Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee to square for [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/immobile-ciro/4S9fNUYh/"]Ciro Immobile[/a], and the veteran Italian made no mistake in rifling home his second goal in as many appearances.[/p][embed guid="260e24d1-0d91-4367-a520-2e8720b66ab1" url="https://x.com/Ligue1_ENG/status/2042664548855947467" social-type="twitter" /][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/hradecky-lukas/nRZtaBXj/"]Lukas Hradecky[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/faes-wout/KjuF3pMi/"]Wout Faes[/a] combined to block [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/lopez-maxime/4QFT6q49/"]Maxime Lopez[/a] and stop Monaco from falling three behind after Paris ripped through them again, but that proved to be only a temporary reprieve.[/p][p]A pair of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/trapp-kevin/QqugudYS/"]Kevin Trapp[/a] saves to deny [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/adingra-simon/6kgBNHG6/"]Simon Adingra[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/fati-ansu/dUPVnxzP/"]Ansu Fati[/a] proved vital when the hosts launched a stunning counter that ended in Immobile finding Ikoné, allowing the winger to double his tally for the evening in almost identical fashion to his first. [/p][p]Lopez then fired over, but Sébastien Pocognoli’s shell-shocked side eventually regrouped and applied pressure before the break. [/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/balgun-folarin/rVZLmUsU/"]Folarin Balogun[/a] contrived to fire over at the back post with the goal at his mercy, but netted soon afterwards, having been picked out by [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/bamba-aladji/SdqoM3cU/"]Aladji Bamba[/a], becoming the first player since Neymar in 2022 to score in seven successive Ligue 1 matches.[/p][image alt="Match stats" id="823255d3-2bb4-497e-baf0-56451373ea16" credit-line="Opta by StatsPerform" guid="03d334d4-0d9a-43be-88e8-73bd689fee94" original-width="1080" original-height="1080" /][p]Momentum was with Monaco, and Trapp denied Fati again in first-half stoppage time, with the Paris player perhaps grateful for the timing of the interval.[/p][p]Antoine Kombouaré’s men regrouped and were back to their attacking best upon the restart, though a clinical edge deserted them with several promising counters ultimately coming to nothing.[/p][p]The introduction of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/pogba-paul/MTNGv0hT/"]Paul Pogba[/a] from the bench for a first appearance since December looked to have initially buoyed Monaco, but just two minutes later, they conceded again to put the contest beyond them.[/p][embed guid="3d710ac3-5258-4499-adb8-5a97e31dd65a" url="https://x.com/Ligue1_ENG/status/2042673476998189084" social-type="twitter" /][p]Only six minutes after being substituted on himself, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/koleosho-luca/pnm2Br3R/"]Luca Koleosho[/a] let fly from distance and left Hradecky helpless as his strike arrowed in off the underside of the bar.[/p][p]That goal rounded off Paris’ biggest win of the season, opening up a 12-point gap to the drop zone and stretching their unbeaten run to seven matches.[/p][p]Monaco, meanwhile, are beaten in Ligue 1 for the first time since January as they miss the chance to climb into the top three, with this dismal result extending a poor run of form in Monday-held away league matches to one win in 10.[/p][p]Flashscore Man of the Match: [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/ikone-jonathan/xGBNss8O/"]Jonathan Ikoné[/a] ([a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/paris-fc/0OEHEprs/"]Paris FC[/a])[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/monaco-2PIvr8o4/paris-fc-0OEHEprs/?mid=fRgCDzo2"]Check out all the match stats with Flashscore[/a][/p]
