Sports director and Billie Jean Cup team captain, Jens Anker Andersen, has been sacked by the Danish Tennis Federation.

[p]On Wednesday morning, the Danish Tennis Federation announced that sports director [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/andersen-jens-anker/pzwyUUil/"]Jens Anker Andersen[/a] will leave the federation, where he has been employed since 2014.[/p][p]Jens Anker Andersen says to Ekstra Bladet that he was surprised to receive the message on Tuesday morning.[/p][p]"I've been sacked. It just has to settle. It was justified by an organizational change, and of course, it must be done. Whether I understand it or not doesn't really matter. There is nothing to be done about it. It's really hard to put into words, I think. It is too early. I'm not mad, I'd say. It is the way it is. I don't think anyone is mad at me either."[/p][p]The Danish Tennis Federation has instead chosen to employ Martin Linnet Killemose in a newly created position as deputy director. He will henceforth be responsible for the sports management part and for the association's finances.[/p][p]Killemose has been tennis manager at KB Tennis for the past six years.[/p]
