OPINION: Tuchel was appointed to pass single test with England but failed Southgate's way

[p]The FA paid a premium for a Champions League winner, a coach who had out-thought [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/guardiola-pep/hxNijWrJ/"]Pep Guardiola[/a] in a European final, precisely because Southgate's [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/england/j9N9ZNFA/"]England[/a] kept arriving at the biggest moments and shrinking.
