Ignacio Buse cruises past Arthur Fery to capture Winston-Salem title

[p]The 22-year-old from Lima, who won the first ATP title of his career at Hamburg in May, cruised past surprise Wimbledon semi-finalist [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/fery-arthur/SKxbA6KA/"]Fery[/a] to win [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/tennis/buse-i-A1LQjAPb/fery-a-SKxbA6KA/?mid=foq2H9tR"]6-3, 6-2[/a].[/p][p][b]The fourth-seeded [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/buse-ignacio/A1LQjAPb/"]Buse[/a], currently ranked 36th in the world, sealed victory on his third match point when Fery smacked a backhand long.[/b][/p][p]France-born Fery enjoyed a fairytale run to the last four at Wimbledon last month before losing to Germany's [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/zverev-alexander/dGbUhw9m/"]Alexander Zverev[/a].[/p][embed guid="7d8154a5-110c-409f-92c6-74d5729a3632" url="https://x.com/atptour/status/2093815580339884100" social-type="twitter" /][p]The 24-year-old started brightly in Saturday's final in North Carolina as the match went with serve for the first seven games.[/p][p]But Buse broke in the eighth to make it 5-3 and then held to take the first set.[/p][p][b]The South American went a double break up for a 3-0 lead at the start of the second and although Fery clawed one of those breaks back, Buse broke again to take a 5-2 lead before closing out the match.[/b][/p][p]Both players will now head to New York where they are playing in the US Open first round.[/p]
