Belgian champions Club Brugge have signed FC Midtjylland's defender Lee Han-beom, who took part in the 2026 World Cup for South Korea. The two parties have agreed a three-year deal.

[p]Lee Han-beom joined FC Midtjylland in August 2023, and after a difficult first season with limited playing time, the now 24-year-old defender developed into a key figure in the Midtjylland defense—a development highlighted by his match-winning role in last year’s cup final and a 47-match unbeaten run for club and country that concluded in November 2025.[/p][p]"Lee’s stats are impressive. He is extremely dangerous on set-pieces and involved in a great many goals in attack. He is unique in so many areas and possesses key attributes that are top-tier in international football," says Midtjylland Sports director Kristian Bach Bak.[/p][embed guid="aea51266-25b7-4259-b50c-b40b1b8bd03a" url="https://x.com/DAZN_BEFR/status/2084190730226938345" social-type="twitter" /][p]This summer saw him start three matches for South Korea at the World Cup, and now new challenges await with the Belgian champions.[/p][p]Brugge have performed well and are set to play in the Champions League group phase. We are proud to develop players whom other clubs believe can step straight in and play in the world's biggest club tournament. I am convinced he will be a huge success at Brugge. We wish him all the best for the future," says Kristian Bach Bak.[/p]
