Ajax and Indonesian FA announce football partnership to develop locals

[p]The partnership aims to develop players, managers, and coaches in [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/indonesia/88ErHiT9/"]Indonesia[/a] in line with the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/ajax/8UOvIwnb/"]Ajax[/a] philosophy.[/p][p]PSSI chairman Erick Thohir has shared his delight at starting this partnership with the Dutch giants.[/p][p][b]"Football is the most popular sport in Indonesia, but we must acknowledge that we still face challenges in our youth development system. Since early 2025, Cruyff has also served as a technical advisor to the PSSI. Ajax allowed him to keep that job in hopes of finding Indonesian talent early, according to Dutch newspaper Trouw.[/p][p]Ajax CEO Menno Geelen emphasised Ajax's role as a talent developer on the global stage and said the partnership resulted from years of discussions.[/p][p][b]"We want to maintain our position as one of the world’s leading talent development organisations and share our expertise in relevant markets," [/b]Geelen said before praising Indonesia as a football country.[/p][p][b]"Indonesia is one such market: large, with tremendous potential and a huge passion for football.
