AGF's CEO Jacob Nielsen blames FC Midtjylland for using dirty tricks and approaching Tobias Bech illegally just before the end of the winter transfer window when the Aarhus club were locked in a two-horse race with FC Midtjylland for the Danish championship.

[p]Shortly before the end of the winter transfer window, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/midtjylland/8GZDmdbB/"]FC Midtjylland[/a] allegedly tried to sign AGF playmaker [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/bech-tobias/fL5m1CfP/"]Tobias Bech[/a], from AGF, who turned down a bid of around 37.5 million Danish kroner (€ 5 million).[/p][p]There were rumours that Bech had agreed to the move, which was denied by his agent, the former Danish international [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/nielsen-brian-steen/WrDA6N51/"]Brian Steen Nielsen[/a]. "Neither Tobias nor I have agreed to anything", said Brian Steen Nielsen to Bold.dk[/p][p]"We have had a clear plan with AGF to continue the success together until the summer of 2026, and that has not been changed - not even in the latest transfer window. Tobias loves being in AGF, and it makes him both irritated and sad to have to read what is described in Tipsbladet", said Brian Steen Nielsen back in February.[/p][embed guid="5e2233a7-eb7e-4e65-a2ab-894bb2f2fade" url="https://x.com/FootRankings/status/2053776376877191508" social-type="twitter" /][p]The transfer saga attracted a lot of attention, and it still hasn't been forgotten at AGF before the reigning champions begin their new season campaign in three weeks. [/p][p]In the Viaplay program 'Miraclemakers - AGF's gold from within', CEO Jacob Nielsen lashes out at the Midtjylland wolves. "Now the season is over. But it was playing dirty. It is against the law because you do not just contact each other's players. It is in the rules. You do not do that."[/p][p]"So CV (Carsten V. Jensen, AGF's sports director) shut it down quite quickly. We all agreed on that. But also in relation to the player. That is what it was about. To get into the player's head is playing dirty. It is not the fact that you are not allowed to trade with each other", he says in the program.[/p][p]The Danish Superliga starts on 24 July. AGF will face [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/brondby/67R5vKqt/"]Brondby[/a] in the first round, while FC Midtjylland will be up against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/sonderjyske/42ectuVa/"]Sonderjyske[/a]. [/p]
