Bayern Munich’s waltz towards the Bundesliga title continued at Millerntor-Stadion, where they beat St. Pauli 5-0, breaking their Bundesliga goals record of 101 that had stood since 1971/72 and making it 10 successive league games unbeaten.

[p]With this match bisecting the two legs of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/bayern-munich/nVp0wiqd/"]Bayern[/a]’s UEFA Champions League tie with Real Madrid, Vincent Kompany made seven changes to his starting line-up.[/p][p]Nonetheless, they only needed nine minutes to find their rhythm, as the ball was worked across to [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/laimer-konrad/GlHWqQKJ/"]Konrad Laimer[/a] on the right, and his cross was perfect for [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/musiala-jamal/nVzSNrOf/"]Jamal Musiala[/a] to power a header past [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/vasilj-nikola/zJ3yuRdk/"]Nikola Vasilj[/a]. [/p][p]That goal drew Bayern with their Bundesliga goals record, and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/olise-michael/E5pvwqkK/"]Michael Olise[/a] was guilty of wasting the first chance to break the record, pulling a strike across goal from a good position.[/p][p]Musiala couldn’t believe he didn’t double his and Bayern’s total in the 27th minute, when [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/kimmich-joshua/MkMrkZLc/"]Joshua Kimmich[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/guerreiro-raphael/ImhgOoOl/"]Raphael Guerreiro[/a] combined to provide Musiala another golden chance, only for his shot to hit the inside of the post and bounce along the goal line.[/p][p]That miss would have proven costly had [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/kim-min-jae/vkXC6mad/"]Kim Min-jae[/a] not made a remarkable block to deny Mathias Pereira Lage a certain goal soon after, with [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/neuer-manuel/Sh5KwIo6/"]Manuel Neuer[/a] beaten, before the veteran shot-stopper was less troubled by [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/fujita-joel/fk39PxaS/"]Joel Chima Fujita[/a]’s header.[/p][image alt="Match stats" id="c0c93461-9440-468b-a471-bf6a8c6a2a9e" credit-line="Opta by StatsPerform" guid="92d754ac-a7a1-45ac-80e2-5adb05ba0822" original-width="1080" original-height="1080" /][p]At the other end, tame efforts from [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/bischof-tom/fRZB21nI/"]Tom Bischof[/a] and Laimer came to nothing, as Die Roten’s lead remained 1-0 at the half-time whistle.[/p][p]The opening chance of the second half went to the hosts after effective dribbling from [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/hountondji-andreas/WSUojcHs/"]Andreas Hountondji[/a] created a shooting opportunity for himself, but a deflection took the sting out of the shot and made it easier for Neuer.[/p][p]Within minutes, the match was beyond Alexander Blessin’s side, who conceded Bayern’s 102nd of the season when a Kimmich free-kick was flicked by a Pauli head for [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/goretzka-leon/l2JpsMjB/"]Leon Goretzka[/a] to volley in his third of that tally. [/p][p]Almost immediately from kick-off, Goretzka intercepted a pass which broke kindly for Olise, who strolled to the edge of the area and curled the ball low into the bottom corner.[/p][embed guid="c8b066bc-7bc0-427c-aa34-621d78f6896a" url="https://x.com/FCBayernEN/status/2043024619578253640" social-type="twitter" /][p]As [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/jackson-nicolas/jXg8d5RJ/"]Nicolas Jackson[/a] ballooned wide and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/diaz-luis/SKjMUHVm/"]Luis Diaz[/a] had an effort well blocked either side of the hour-mark, it looked to be a case of “when” not “if” a fourth Bayern goal would arrive.[/p][p]And they needed only a few more minutes, again winning the ball in Kiezkicker territory before Musiala played in Jackson to atone for his previous miss. [/p][p]That goal allowed Bayern to take their foot off the gas in the final quarter of the game, though they still managed to convert another turnover into a goal late on, as Guerreiro pounced on hesitation at the back and applied the finish himself. [/p][p]It’s an eighth consecutive head-to-head win for the Bavarians, while a [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/metcalfe-connor/zqXaHPUa/"]Connor Metcalfe[/a] effort from range was the closest the hosts came to a consolation en route to extending their winless run to five matches.[/p][p]Flashscore Man of the Match: [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/musiala-jamal/nVzSNrOf/"]Jamal Musiala[/a] ([a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/bayern-munich/nVp0wiqd/"]Bayern Munich[/a])[/p][image alt="Player ratings" id="1f49c5ae-a0d8-49f1-9fff-1cb3a2933ef8" credit-line="Flashscore" guid="fa08c669-a439-4f5b-8db9-cbe7cf4efca6" original-width="1200" original-height="1200" /][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/bayern-munich-nVp0wiqd/st-pauli-ILyJuN3g/summary/stats/?mid=2Hz1uPDE"]Catch up on the stats with Flashscore.[/a][/p]
