Nigerian football legend Henry Nwosu passes away aged 62

May he rest peacefully with our creator in heaven.“[/b][/p][embed guid="3982e38c-593a-4755-81c7-412ca197db93" url="https://x.com/thenff/status/2032801898453963230" social-type="twitter" /][p][b]Nwosu’s death comes days after the passing of former [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/nigeria/EBE2Xb3l/"]Super Eagles[/a] coach Adegboye Onigbinde.[/b][/p][p]He was part of the Nigeria national football team squad that won the 1980 Africa Cup of Nations at just 17, making him the youngest member of the team. [/p][p]Born in Imo State, the midfield maestro began his career with New Nigeria Bank before joining African Continental Bank in Lagos. [/p][p]He later moved abroad to play for ASEC Mimosas in Cote d’Ivoire and Racing FC Bafoussam in Cameroon.[/p][p]After retiring, Nwosu moved into coaching and served as an assistant to Onigbinde during the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
