Eredivisie champions PSV will take a trip to the Spanish island of Ibiza for a champions' holiday, manager Peter Bosz confirmed during Wednesday's press conference.

[p]The Eredivisie schedule of round 31 has been altered with an eye for King's Day, the Dutch national holiday. Round 31 will start on Wednesday and end on Saturday to not keep the police force busy during the bustling holiday.[/p][p]With the extra couple of days off, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/psv/M9UEHJWi/"]PSV[/a] have taken the opportunity to organise a champions' holiday to the Spanish island of Ibiza. The timing surprised some, with PSV set to take on rivals [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/ajax/8UOvIwnb/"]Ajax[/a] on Saturday, May 2nd.[/p][p]This was no problem for manager Peter Bosz, whose PSV team will take on PEC Zwolle on [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/psv-M9UEHJWi/zwolle-r1L5w2EB/?mid=rccgEeIq"]Thursday[/a]: "The timing worked out well. We looked at the football-free weekend. I had already scheduled two days off for the players, which will now be used for this," Bosz said during the pre-game press conference.[/p][image alt="PSV manager Peter Bosz during the title celebrations" id="14e3f375-c04c-4c1a-b0c6-16528df63816" credit-line="images/NurPhoto / Shutterstock Editorial / Profimedia" guid="a7566868-57a1-4e9f-a233-71d32f486ee4" original-width="1400" original-height="933" /][p]"The lads needed to do something together, and we were looking to give the internationals in particular some time off. They’ve always just kept going."[/p][p]While Bosz reiterated that PSV will have a normal week of training, with Tuesday's session being open to the public, the 62-year-old boss hoped that the few days off won't disturb the players' rhythm.[/p][p]"It’s a bit of a mixed bag. Top-level sport is always a balancing act, but for the next match where that’s required, it might not be quite as much of a factor. However, we have a lot of lads heading to the World Cup, and you want to travel to a tournament like that in the best possible shape. So we certainly can’t let it slide; for those going to the World Cup, this season is definitely not over."[/p][p]Ajax-PSV is set to kick off at [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/ajax-8UOvIwnb/psv-M9UEHJWi/?mid=UD7o4Wr1"]21.00 CET on Saturday, May 2nd[/a].[/p]
