Nahir Besara netted a hat-trick and Moise Kabore scored a brace as Hammarby made it two wins from two in the Group Stage of the Svenska Cupen with a 5-3 victory at Orebro, while GAIS remained perfect but needed to come from behind to beat Sandviken.

[p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/hammarby/SQsg3nME/"]Hammarby[/a] had begun their Group 2 campaign with a 2-0 win over [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/brage/Ye5hqs2o/"]Brage[/a], and tonight's trip to another lower league side began in similar fashion when [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/kabore-moise/trO8zSvT/"]Kabore[/a] put them ahead, only for [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/orebro/xAfs9rq1/"]Orebro[/a] to respond through [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/redenstrand-christopher/S0HlKwL0/"]Christopher Redenstrand[/a].[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/besara-nahir/v3OyKegM/"]Besara[/a] restored the advantage before the break, then he and Kabore looked to have put the Stockholm side out of sight by both completing their braces in the first 20 minutes of the first half.[/p][p]Yet from 4-1 down, the Superettan side almost pulled off a comeback, as [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/yakoub-antonio/EDrKjAtP/"]Antonio Yakoub[/a] reduced the deficit almost immediately, then [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/soderstrom-hampus/tn0nK8Io/"]Hampus Soderstrom[/a] made it a one-goal game with seven minutes to play.[/p][p]However, Hammarby finally secured the points five minutes from time as Besara completed both his hat-trick and the scoring in the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/hammarby-SQsg3nME/orebro-xAfs9rq1/?mid=lhTxGUY0"]5-3[/a] win, taking Bajen to the top of the group, two points clear of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/oster/KQEAENtF/"]Oster[/a], for whom [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/olsson-filip/tCCoJ0lK/"]Filip Olsson[/a] also scored three in a [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/brage-Ye5hqs2o/oster-KQEAENtF/?mid=M5RpE83D"]4-1[/a] victory over Brage.[/p][embed guid="8b8993b5-9b73-4dd5-be8a-dce318f4aa91" url="https://x.com/hammarbyfotboll/status/2028572517779018144" social-type="twitter" /][p]In Group 3, Sandsviken were on course to cause the upset of the round when they went 2-0 up against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/gais/bJewAOTf/"]GAIS[/a], only for the Allsvenskan side to turn things around and run out [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/gais-bJewAOTf/sandviken-hAcM0NH6/?mid=nBHUDa9U"]3-2[/a] winners away from home.[/p][p][a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/wagner-christian/0fD4TOAS/"]Christian Wagner[/a] and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/carleton-alan/8jFjeQme/"]Alan Carleton[/a] had the Superettan side two goals ahead inside 15 minutes, but the match swung back in the Mackerels' favour two minutes into first-half added time, when [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/beckman-filip/84nmhtpN/"]Filip Beckman[/a] reduced the deficit.[/p][p]That confidence boost before half-time proved vital for the visitors, who equalised through [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/milovanovic-william/llrBEC4b/"]William Milovanovic[/a], before [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/sletsjoe-henry/va6Q9c4m/"]Henry Sletsjoe[/a] completed the job with 15 minutes to play.[/p][p]GAIS are top of the group with four points, ahead of [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/norrkoping/tpjDEBbi/"]Norrkoping[/a] on goal difference after they won [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/landskrona-YPU3LPlp/norrkoping-tpjDEBbi/?mid=2NivY2fn"]2-0[/a] at home to [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/landskrona/YPU3LPlp/"]Landskrona[/a].
