Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Kai Havertz will be named in his Germany squad for the World Cup.

[p]A frustrating campaign with injury had the best possible ending for [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/havertz-kai/rH8BZWiI/"]Havertz[/a], who won the Premier League title with [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/arsenal/hA1Zm19f/"]Arsenal[/a], ending their 22-year drought.[/p][p]The German international only played 11 times in the top-flight as the Gunners were confirmed champions on Tuesday following [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/manchester-city/Wtn9Stg0/"]Manchester City[/a]'s draw against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/bournemouth/OtpNdwrc/"]Bournemouth[/a]. [/p][p]But the 26-year-old has shown glimpses of his best form in recent weeks, scoring the winning goal in Arsenal's 1-0 victory over [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/burnley/z3dmTMMO/"]Burnley[/a], while netting in April's 2-1 defeat at the Etihad. [/p][p]Following the euphoria of a league title win, Havertz's attention will quickly focus on the World Cup after their final games of the season against [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/crystal-palace/AovF1Mia/"]Crystal Palace[/a] on the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/arsenal-hA1Zm19f/crystal-palace-AovF1Mia/?mid=UNC9hLMj"]Premier League final day[/a] and then [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/psg/CjhkPw0k/"]PSG[/a] in the [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/game/soccer/arsenal-hA1Zm19f/psg-CjhkPw0k/?mid=EJZRaQ15"]Champions League final[/a], and Nagelsmann wants his forward to play a starring role. [/p][embed guid="b3bb6c3b-df0f-4f10-b23e-8244a62032ed" url="https://x.com/Plettigoal/status/2057374609251426393" social-type="twitter" /][p]“On the pitch, you are outstanding. Incredibly important for us. Stay healthy, clear your mind and go for it. You have everything we need to have a top goalscorer up front," Nagelsmann said. [/p][p]Havertz is planned to start as Germany's No. 9 this summer and he should relish that weight of expectation on his shoulders. [/p]
