The result meant that AGF just needed to win one out of their remaining two games against Brondby and [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/team/viborg/v99EsEjo/"]Viborg[/a] to secure the title. [/p][p]With that ballast, AGF started on a bright note as a long-range shot from Gift Links tested keeper Patrick Pentz, and from the subsequent corner kick, [a href="https://www.flashscore.ca/player/dalsgaard-henrik/27ecmYUM/"]Henrik Dalsgaard[/a] flicked the ball in to the back of the net with his knee. [/p][p]AGF left more initiative to the home team after the opening goal, and Brondby came close to restoring parity a couple of times. The 17-year-old Raphael Canut, in particular, wasted a glorious chance. But Brondby were then made to pay for their wastefulness as midfielder Kevin Yakob searched into the box and found the far corner for a 2-0 lead after 25 minutes.[/p][p]Brondby pressed on during the second half but couldn't find a way back against the Aarhus outfit. AGF on Sunday evening recorded a 2-0 win at Brondby Stadium, which was enough to win their first Danish Championship title in 40 years, as FC Midtjylland earlier on Sunday could only draw against FC Nordsjaelland.
